Connectedness

It is a thrill to be included in the exhibition catalog of the Danish Pavillion in Venice Architecture Biennale 2020.

Our contribution is the article ‘Attention’ written and conceptualized in a joint venture with talented Polina Chebotareva of BAP. With this contribution, we extend our voice on ATTENTION in the Anthropocene together with artists and scientists whom we follow and admire.

The book is an anthology edited by biennale curator Marianne Krogh and published by Strandberg Publishing, 2020.

About the publication:

CONNECTEDNESS – AN INCOMPLETE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE ANTHROPOCENE

“Today we live in what geologists have named the Anthropocene. The Earth has entered a new geological epoch, and the climate crisis is a reality. The crisis is so substantial and complex that our existing knowledge is insufficient. Similarly, it does not seem sufficient to consider the Anthropocene from a single perspective or field.

Connectedness is a unique encyclopedia consisting of almost 100 diverse contributions from significant voices of our time, each reflecting on questions, phenomena, terms, possibilities and theories associated with the Anthropocene and with the human and environmental connectedness. From academic and scientific essays to manifests, poetry, visual arts, charts and photographs.

Among the book's contributors are Bruno Latour, Donna Haraway, Peter Weibel, Greta Thunberg, Björk, Connie Hedegaard, Minik Rosing, Carsten Jensen, Josefine Klougart, SUPERFLEX, Tomás Saraceno, Bill McKibben and many more.”
